You may have noticed that I didn’t post on Wednesday. It was the first time I had not posted two times in a week since I started this blog in August of 2020. After 286 posts, I decided it was ok to slow down a bit.

Summer chores have their way of keeping you busy; sometimes so busy that you don’t have much time for anything else. Us planting more things this spring means more watering and weeding. It is also hard to want to sit and do wood burning with the weather so nice.

That being said, I have decided to scale back my posts to just once a week, on Saturday, for the summer months. This will alleviate the pressure of coming up with content and maybe allow me to stumble upon new ideas while exploring outside.

I feel a bit of a creative block so I need to do other try other things to unblock. I find that working on something else often gives me ideas of things I want to burn or make. Hot smoky weather has its way of making my mind seem cloudy and body feel sluggish. I definitely have a clearer mind and more energy in the cool fall and cold winter.

So, thank you to those who have continued following me on my blogging journey. There will be more posts coming just not as often. Allowing myself this sort of “break” has already lifted a weight off of my shoulders.
