Maybe it is the fact that I grew up in a small Saskatchewan town, but I always get this feeling of contentment in the fall.
“As long as the earth endures, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” Genesis 8:22
It is especially nice to be able to spend time in my hometown in late September.
Everyone is busy harvesting their crops and gardens.
The leaves turn to beautiful colours of yellow, orange and red.
Neighbours share their bounty with each other.
Vegetables and fruits are preserved or stored to be ready for the long cold winter ahead.
The weather is cool but not cold and often windy.
Most days, you can spend the whole day outside and not get too hot or feel too cold.
I enjoy fall tasks like cleaning up the garden, cutting the grass for the last time and raking up all the leaves in a beautiful pile.
There is a feeling of being blessed with having had a beautiful summer and fruitful harvest.
I am not sure whether it is the busyness of the season, the changing of the leaves or the freshness of a fall breeze but fall is definitely my favourite season.
I did hit ‘like’ does it show?
Thanks again for being here for us and with us. 👍❤️
This is my favourite time as well. Beautiful pictures .
