I quickly made these up last weekend after being invited over for board games and supper. I had bought a multi pack of chocolate bars at Costco and set aside the Mars bars for such an occasion. I used to make these when our kids were younger, often after Halloween, as it was a good way to use up the mini Mars bars.
Ingredients
4 Mars bars (each 52g) cut into smaller squares
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3 cups Rice Krispies
Topping:
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Melt butter and chocolate bars in a med-large pot on low heat.
Stir to keep from burning.

Once both the butter and chocolate bars are fully melted, remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies stirring until fully combined.

Scrape into an 8X8 or 9X9 greased pan.

In a small pot, melt butter and chocolate chips on low heat just until melted.

Pour evenly onto the Rice Krispie mixture already in the pan.

Refrigerate until the chocolate is set.
Cut into squares, serve and enjoy.

Keep these in mind when looking to make nut-free back to school treats.
Looks yummy
