Here is another Christmas Baking recipe that I thought I would share with you.
I have had this recipe for years.
I loved to make this one to give as teacher appreciation gifts during the holidays.
It is also a favourite of all my boys.
Ingredients
Cookie Dough
1/2 cup butter softened
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
2 Tbsp half n half cream
1/2 cup flour
Fudge
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup half n half cream
4 1/2 cups icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Directions
For the cookie dough, beat the sugars, butter, half n half and vanilla together. Stir in the salt and flour. Set aside.
For the fudge use a medium saucepan and stir the brown sugar, butter and half n half.
Heat just until the butter is melted and sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in icing sugar one cup at a time. Stir in vanilla.
Add the cookie dough mixture to the fudge mixture and stir until combined. Gently stir in the chocolate chips just until evenly distributed or they will start to melt.
Spoon into a greased foil lined 9X9 baking pan. Spread until the top is even.
Put into the refrigerate to harden.
Once firm, carefully remove the foil and cut into small squares.
As you bite into this fudge, you get that taste of cookie dough pushing through all the sugary goodness.
It is a perfect touch of something sweet to add to your Christmas baking.
Keep it in the fridge over storing it on the counter.
It also freezes very well.
Sounds mmm good!
