Looking back on wood burning projects that I have done over the last few years, I noticed that many of them contain one or more of these words. Some of the projects were requested but many of them are ones that I have chosen to do.

1 Corinthians 13:13 …And now faith, hope and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

This is a favourite bible verse for more than one of the important people in my life.

In a twist of fate, months after we moved into our new house, my nieces were inspecting everything outside and noticed something interesting. Amongst the stones that were mortared into the rock facade on the outside of our house, were three smooth round stones with words etched onto them.

I am a firm believer that having motivational words in every room in your home can have an impact on your overall outlook on life. Words can help define a way forward and give one purpose. I think this is why I feel the need to incorporate words into a lot of my wood burning.

I pray that you all can find faith in something you cannot see, hope in a brighter tomorrow, love for all the important people in your life and joy in every day. And, by focusing on all of these, may you find peace.
