In searching for some patterns for me to use up various colours of yarn, I came across this pattern for a heart. My original thought was to use the hearts with children’s programming centered around Valentine’s Day. I really like the way that they turn out and plan to make some as a decorative accents in my home.
My mom taught me to knit and I have done enough knitting over the years to have it feel quite easy to pick it up again. This pattern only has knit (garter stitch), knit front and back (I watched a YouTube video) and knit 2 together (I remembered that one).
I used 5.5mm needles and I used some left over Red Heart holiday yarn with silver in it.

A cute little heart to give someone.
They can use it as a coaster or pin/hang as a decoration.
